Sadler Energy are pleased to announce that we now provide BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment assessments and certification. Introduced in June 2012, the new scheme is performance based assessment method and certification scheme for domestic buildings undergoing refurbishment. Whilst the Code for Sustainable Home is based on New Build Properties, the primary aim of BREEAM Refurbishment is to improve the environmental performance of existing dwellings in a robust and cost effective manner.

Like the Code for Sustainable Homes, the performance of existing dwellings is quantified by a number of individual measures and associated criteria stretching across a range of environmental issues as described in the following list, which is ultimately express in a single certified BREEAM rating from a simple Pass to Outstanding.
